How to use CNC turning and milling machines?

The CNC turning and milling machine is a multi-functional integrated machining machine with high precision, efficiency and flexibility. The machine can perform traditional single cuts such as turning, drilling and tapping, as well as non-mainstream shape machining operations such as vertical/horizontal milling and brown wheel grinding wheel cutting.
This CNC turning and milling machine usually consists of two or three axes (X,Y,Z) and is equipped with a computer system and various other drive components for operation. The CNC turning and milling machine main advantage is that by making it free from human intervention, it offers a faster and more accurate handling of the complete process, which can significantly reduce production cycle times and increase production efficiency.

How do I use a CNC turning and milling machine?
The use of this machine requires a certain amount of training and operating instructions to ensure that personnel are safe and able to carry out their machining tasks correctly and efficiently. A few basic steps are briefly described below:
1. Designing a CAD drawing: The designer must use Computer Aided Design (CAD) software to create a 3D model or 2D drawing.
2. Convert to CAM file: The CAD file of the part to be produced is converted into an executable cutting program (CAM).
3. Prepare the equipment: The operator needs to check that the equipment is in good condition and to adapt and configure it to the specific requirements. For example, installing the appropriate tools, filling the chipformer, etc.
4. Run the program: The CAM file is loaded into the CNC mill-turn machine and the machining paths are previewed and compared before running, and then the automatic cycle of production tasks can begin.
5. Monitoring progress: the status of the equipment and the progress of each machining process should be monitored regularly so that emergency measures can be taken immediately if any problems are identified
6. Cleaning and maintenance: Before official decommissioning, attention should be paid to cleaning and removing all residues and to lubricating and maintaining all its parts and components according to specifications.

Applications of CNC turning and milling machines
Due to their high efficiency, high precision and versatility, they are widely used in various industries. The following are some common application scenarios:
1. Metal manufacturing: including automotive parts, aero engine parts, tools and other areas.
2. Plastic manufacturing: processing plastic materials into various shapes and producing a large number of models or product prototypes of different sizes.
3. precision machining: such as watches / electronics / optical instruments, etc.; these products must be precisely calculated to achieve the best results, and this is exactly what the composite machine tool is good at doing.
